We’re close to these in the table so really hoping for a win tonight.
First roll they hit a mediocre 54. We started on a low note, continued about the same through mid roll and failed to improve to the end leaving us with a severely lacking 44.
Second roll they knocked over a poor 47, givingus a chance. We began the roll badly again, didn’t improve through the middle then a slight improvement left us with an almost as poor 48.
Third roll they hit an amazing 70! We opened slightly better, continued with some pace and a similar pace to finish gave us a disappointing 53.
Fourth roll they collapsed with a really upsetting 49. We kicked off well with an amazing 8 from Clive G. (for him), stumbled through the middle apart from another exceptional 8 from Mr. Maylin then collapsed at the end leaving us with an average 55.
Fifth roll they hit a boring 54 and a grand total of 270. We started poorly, roller coastered through the middle and a decent finish wasn’t enough to give us more than a rotten 53 and a grand total of 253.

First game of the year and we’re struggling for players again.
First roll started slow, picked up a bit mid-roll then dropped off but was saved by a cracking 9 from our anchor man Mr. Rowley giving us a mediocre total of 54. They came back with a poorer 52, giving us a chance.
A slightly better start to the second roll was followed up by an upsetting middle and an average tail end failed to improve on last roll leaving as with a disappointing 53. They hit a more useful 59 leaving as playing follow the leader.
Third roll started quite well, slipped slightly mid-roll then rose to a crecendo and another fine display of skittles from our anchor man to leave us with a much more useful 60. They only managed a pathetic 50, putting us back into the lead in this see-saw of a game.
Fourth roll began well enough, continued at a good pace but dipped a bit at the end to give us an acceptable 57. They responded with a decent 60 meaning the game rests on this last roll.
Fifth roll began shakily, struggled through the middle and dropped off at the tail end leaving us with a very disappointing 49 and a grand total of 273. They Came back with an adequate 53, giving a grand total of 274, taking the game by 1 pin!

This was your roving reporter’s annual Christmas party so here’s the report in retrospect.
First roll they set the pace with a blistering 63. We started ok, strolled through the middle and kept the same pace to the end to give us a reasonable 57.
Second roll they hit a mediocre 55. We started very well, continued in style through the middle but tailed off at the tail end to give us an impressive 64.
Third roll they recovered with another scorching 63. We started well, continued even better mid-roll and blazed to the end giving us an amazing 67 roll!
Fourth roll they collapsed to a lowly 50. We started with a duck from Porter Senior and a poor follow-up, improved a little though the middle and improved more to the end but not enough to save us from a pathetic roll total of 44.
Fifth roll they set us a target with an impressive 66 and a grand total of 297. We started quite well but with a poor single in the bunch, continued similarly mid-roll and kept pace to the end to finish with an inadequate 54 and a grand total of 286.
