Playing on a cold alley tonight. Coats abound!
First roll started pretty flat, improved through the middle then stumbled badly and recovered towards the end to leave us with an acceptable 55. They responded with a mediocre 52.
Second roll began ok, kept pace mid-roll then with the exception of a 9 from Alan fell apart at tne end, leaving us down on last roll with a 54. Their response was a useful 57.
We started the third roll started well but rapidly deteriorated, recovered somewhat through the middle and the tail enders kept the roll alive to leave us with an average 55. They could only repeat their first roll score of 52.
Fourth roll started like a roller coaster, tripped up mid-roll then fell over completely at the end leaving us with an awful 49. They responded with a welcome 56 nudging into the lead.
Fifth and final roll had a rocky start, picked up a little through the middle then flew to the end with 9s from the Radar and the Anchor Rowley gave us an impressive 63 and a grand total of 276. They hit a decent 60 to take the game by 1 pin.

Due to a totally shoddy bus service I was unable to report on the night so here’s the late write-up of the match played on Wednesday the 6th of December.
First roll they only managed a mediocre 52. We started with promise, kept the momentum through mid-roll and changed up a gear at the end to finish on a tidy 61.
Second roll they dropped to a poor 47. Our roll began well, tripped a little through the middle and recovered at the end to finish on an impressive 63!
Third roll they showed little improvement with an unimpressive 50. We started quite well, stumbled mid-roll then strolled through to the end, finishing on an acceptable 55.
Fourth roll they started to recover with an improved 54. We began poorly with the middlers doing better but the tail enders only managed enough to finish on a dissapointing 45.
Last roll they only hit a terrible 49 giving them a grand total of 252. We began with style, slipped a bit through the middlers and recovered through the finish to a handsome 58 and a grand total of 282, taking the game.
